Your quotes can also feature items as alternative or contingent services.
Alternative services
If you want to offer your customers different services to choose from, you can convert these into alternative services. To do so, create a new article or find one from your article master inventory. Then select the "Alternative service" option beneath the unit price.
This item will now be labelled as "Alternative" in the final PDF quote. The unit and total prices for alternative items will be displayed in the PDF but will not be included in the total amount.
Contingent services
If you want to list items for your customers where you’re not yet sure if they’ll be needed, just use the "Contingent" option.
These items will be labelled "If required" in the final PDF quote. The unit and total prices of required items are displayed in the PDF, but are not included in the total amount.
Important: If you create appointments or invoices from quotes that contain alternative or contingent services, these are automatically converted into standard items. Make sure to delete any items that are not used.
